Founded in the United Kingdom more than 65 years ago by Douglas Holt, Holt Lloyd has become an industry leader in the manufacture and global distribution of automotive aftermarket products.

	Formerly known as Holt Products Company, the company was to later merge with Lloyd Industries Ltd. founded by Tom Heywood in 1962, to become Holt Lloyd International Ltd. in 1975.

	A succession of acquisitions and mergers followed thereafter - in 1980 with Pro-Combur and in 1987 with Morgan Crucible Ltd., making Holt Lloyd the largest car care group in the world.

	In 1994 members of Holt Lloyd led a management buyout from Morgan Crucible, and in 1997 Simoniz International Ltd. was acquired, further enhancing the stable of brands.

	In 1997 Holt Lloyd was purchased by Allied Signal, who in 2000 announced their intention to merge with Honeywell International Ltd.

	Today, Holt Lloyd is integrated into Honeywell’s Consumer Products Group, and joins other premier automotive consumer brands - Fram, Autolite and Prestone in supplying the finest quality car care materials around the globe.
