Holt Lloyd Recognises Apprentices with Rising Stars Scheme

The Holts brand, set up by Douglas Holt in 1919, has always been committed to innovation, problem solving and working with UK professionals to help the car repair industry.

As part of this commitment to helping professional mechanics, we’ve recently launched our exciting Rising Stars scheme.

We’ve teamed up with colleges across the country to work with tutors and students of car mechanics to reward excellence and those apprentices who go the extra mile to succeed.

Tutors from each college select a student on their course who they feel deserves recognition, and these students then become Holts Rising Stars. They are presented with a certificate, a starter toolkit and a selection of Holts goodies including work clothes, and Holts will be following their progress throughout their studies and into their career as a professional mechanic.

Our first Rising Star was Molly Harrell from Runshaw College, who was chosen by her tutor for her effort, enthusiasm and commitment. She was delighted to be chosen, describing the challenges of training in a male dominated industry and her determination to prove herself.
