Summer Shining – Make the Most of the Good Weather

Dangerous sun dazzle - dirty windscreen with glareLong, sunny Sundays are once again with us – meaning it’s time to unfurl the hose and give the car a good valet. Whether you’re planning on taking a long road trip or just want her looking her best on the driveway, here are a few tips for making the most of the good weather and helping your car shine this summer.

1. Alloy Cleaning

Always clean the alloys first – clearing off brake dust which will invariably end up on the body of the car. Simoniz Ultracare Alloy Cleaner is ideal for removing brake dust and road, and it cleans without acid so won’t corrode your alloys even if they’re scuffed. The simple spray on/hose off formula makes this job quick and easy.

2. Shifting the Bugs

Splattered bugs and bird droppings are unavoidable by-products of summer driving – windscreens littered with the dragged remains of stains hopefully pushed aside by windscreen wipers. Rather than making more of a mess, use the Simoniz Bug Shifter to remove all insect deposits and bird droppings quickly and effectively. It can be used on windows and also on paintwork to give you a squeaky clean exterior.

3. Streak-Free Shampoo

Lift all the dirt, grime, dust and unwanted deposits the car’s body has picked up over the winter with a specialist car shampoo. Simoniz Shampoo and Wax effectively cleans the exterior of your car without leaving any unsightly streaks, and giving your paintwork the added protection and shine of Simoniz wax in the process.

4. Shine On

Using Simoniz waxes and polishes, you can add an extra shine to your car. Since 1910, the Simoniz team have been developing and perfecting waxes and polishes designed to help all types of car finishes shine. Wax and polish products in the Simoniz range can also offer additional protection to the body of the car – helping you enjoy a worry-free summer of driving.

5. Deep Clean

Once the outside is clean and shining, it’s time to give the interior a good clean. If you have not had the windows of the car open during the colder months, the upholstery may have started to smell, so it is advisable to give it a good clean with Simoniz Odour Neutraliser  – which kills 99.99% of bacteria and will get rid of bad smells. This is especially important if the family dog gets free run of the back seats after a muddy walk.

Dashboard Shine can help return the clean, streak-free shine to the dashboard and interior panels of the car – adding a pleasant smell to the inside of the car.

Now what are you waiting for? Make the most of the good weather and get out on the road for a lovely long drive along your favourite scenic route.
