Top 3 Favourite Cars from the Fast & Furious Franchise

Whether you’re happy with your results or not, there’s no denying that Fast & Furious always puts on a great show of cars on the big screen. Here, we take a look at three of our favourites from the franchise.

W Motors Lykan Hypersport

In our opinion, one of the most impressive cars from the film series appears in the seventh film: W Motors Lykan Hypersport. The car has Lamborghini-good looks and is paired with a 720-bhp flat-six engine built and tuned by Porsche, enough to power it from 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds. We think its fiery red paintwork and diamond-encrusted headlights make it one of the most outrageous cars from the franchise, not to mention its price: a cool £2.8 million.

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse

While souped up cars can divide opinion, there’s no getting away from the fact that the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse which appears in the first Fast & Furious film is an impressive machine. This is the car that Brian O’Connor drives in an illegal street race to curry favour with Dominic Toretto, so it’s definitely one of the most iconic of the series. The original Eclipse had a 16-valve DOHC 3.0-litre engine that produced 210 bhp, but the car shown in the film was tweaked to give it even more power.

1973 F-Bomb Chevrolet Camaro

The 1973 F-Bomb Chevrolet Camaro may not look like much from the outside, but under the bonnet is a custom-built 1,500-bhp twin-turbo engine that’s more Mad Max than Fast & Furious. This car featured in the 2009 edition of the franchise, and was driven by Dominic Toretto as he tries (and succeeds) to out-pace the bad guys. Though not as exotic or pretty as some of the cars from the films, we think this machine deserves credit for its ridiculous engine alone.
