The drive is essential for a good seal – Tyreweld utilises the warmth provided by the friction of the tyre against the road to increase in volume (which also provides extra pressure) as well as the centrifugal forces involved with a wheel rotating to be able to cure and form a temporary seal at the puncture site.

Generally we would expect a tyre to gain a pressure around 15-22psi after using Tyreweld and then for the tyre to gain a little more during the immediate recommended drive as the foam expands, however this would vary depending on a number of factors such as the exact tyre size and how severe the puncture is (how quickly the pressure can escape before it seals).
