Gun Gum Paste

Our Gun Gum range has been created to make it easy for you to repair exhaust problems at home. We have a range of accessories which, when used with the Gun Gum Paste, create a permanent repair.

Holes in your exhaust system might seem like a small problem at first, but they’re the kind of thing that can build up and cause a big headache if left unfixed.

Fumes leaking out of your exhaust in the wrong place can increase your car’s emissions, and they can also damage other parts of your car. Replacing the damaged exhaust system or other car parts can be costly, so luckily repairing your own exhaust is not only possible but also safe and cost-effective thanks to Holts Gun Gum.

This specialist exhaust repair paste is designed to be used with the Gun Gum range of repair bandages; together, these products create a system that ensures a permanent, gas-tight seal for your faulty exhaust assembly.

  • Quick and easy exhaust system repair
  • Works on hard to reach places
  • Creates a gas tight seal
  • Permanent repair guaranteed when used with the recommended accessory

Why You Should Use Holts Gun Gum

Holts Gun Gum is a leading car exhaust repair putty which has been trusted by car lovers for decades. It has been developed to provide an easy DIY solution to a damaged exhaust.

Previously if an exhaust developed a small hole or crack, you would have no choice but to replace the damaged component or, in some cases, the entire exhaust assembly. This was an expensive and inconvenient undertaking, all to repair a small hole that could be easily patched up.

Recognising this, Holts developed the Gun Gum range to provide a permanent repair for faulty exhaust systems. Combining both a heat-resistant repair putty and a selection of durable metal repair bandages, the Gun Gum range makes it possible to repair minor problems with your exhaust system – meaning no expensive repair bills and minimal time off the road.

And best of all, the Holts Gun Gum system is quick and easy to use, so most car owners that are confident at DIY should have no problem using it to repair their exhaust.

How to Use Holts Gun Gum

Firstly, select the right accessory for your problem (see our handy guide below). Follow the instructions for the accessory and use with Gun Gum Paste to create a permanent gas-tight seal.

The paste comes with a spatula to help you apply it. You can also use your fingers (wear gloves though!), so you can target those hard-to-reach places. You can either leave it to dry overnight or you can speed it up by running the engine, to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

To ensure a permanent, gas-tight seal, it’s important to use the appropriate Gun Gum repair bandage for the area that you’re working on. There are three options to choose from based on where the hole or crack is, including a Narrow Metal Repair Bandage, an Easy Fit Metal Repair Bandage, and a Wide Metal Repair Bandage.
