A warm welcome to Jake Reynolds who joins the team of product experts in the Holts R&D team in the laboratory.
Jake joins us from James Briggs Ltd. where he worked as an R&D chemist for 4 years.
At Holts, Jake will be taking on the Repair and Maintenance product streams – this is mainly concerning the Holts range of products.

What is your job title at Holts?
I’m a Development Chemist
What does a Development Chemist do?
I look at developing new and existing formulations in the Repair & Maintenance category. I also answer customer queries on a wide range of different products.
What did you do before joining Holts?
I was an R&D Chemist at James Briggs Ltd for 4 years, working on a wide range of aerosol & bulk products, ranging from automotive to household.
Before that I studied chemistry at Sheffield Hallam University, before moving to University of Sheffield to complete a masters.
What do you like most about your career?
I enjoy working on a wide range of products and no two days are the same.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I enjoy football and play for a local team at the weekends. I also support Oldham Athletic & go to watch whenever I can.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Watching sport and socialising with my friends and family.
